Monday, September 15, 2008:  India Retail Forum (IRF), an intellectual and information exchange for the retail business in the Indian subcontinent, is going to be held from 16 September to 18 September 2008 in Mumbai. During the event, a round table discussion will also be held on 16 September 2008, which will see Doug Hargrove, chief marketing officer, Torex Retail Holdings Limited, participating as international observer.

e discussion, entitled ‘Where is the opportunity?’, is said to be a lively event discussing how shopping behaviour changes in times like these and how consumers react as the economy rebounds. Having more than 20 years experience in retail, Hargrove will draw on that experience to share with the panel and audience his knowledge of how technology can help to enhance and improve the customer experience and differentiate the retailer from the competition.

“I am delighted to be taking part in this panel discussion at the Indian Retail Event. We have seen many changes within the industry over the past 20 years and as India is seen as the fastest growing retail market, it is important for Torex to understand the needs of the key players. It is an honour to be seen as an international observer, and I very much look forward to an interesting and thought-provoking debate,” commented Hargrove.

During the event, Torex will also be showcasing the global POS portfolio for the first time in India in the Future Shop section.
