Rosebys plans 240 stores in India

Bangalore: Seeking to expand its footprint aggressively, home decor and lifestyle products firm Rosebys Interiors India Ltd plans to open 240 single brand retail stores in India by October next, a company official said.

Rosebys kicked off its Indian retail operations in October end and it now has 12 stores in Punjab, Gujarat, West Bengal and Uttaranchal. It today entered the Karnataka market launching four stores here. It plans to open 25 stores in Karnataka in one year, CEO of Rosebys Aloke Banerjee told a press conference.

Rosebys offers a range of products including bed covers, bed sheets, towels, cushions, and adornments such as photo frames, vases, candles besides home stainless steel ware and personal care products.

Rosebys is the home retail arm of Gujarat Heavy Industries Chemicals (GHCL), which had acquired the UK brand (Rosebys).

Rosebys plans to open 25 stores in Andhra Pradesh beginning from January, followed by Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Delhi and Mumbai, among others, Banerjee said. Rosebys Director Nikhil Sen said five to ten per cent of the 240 stores planned in one year would be company-owned, with the remaining being franchisee ones.

Sen said the company proposed a Rs 150 crore spend, particularly for brand building. Rosebys is positioning itself as an affordable luxury brand in the premium market. The company aims for sales of Rs 10,000 per sq ft of retail space per annum.

Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan has been signed as the Brand Ambassador for Rosebys.

Rosebys kickstarts by opening 4 retail stores in Punjab

Rosebys Interiors India Ltd. today has kick started its Indian retail operations by launching its stores in the state of Punjab. The company simultaneously opened four stores in Chandigarh, Mohali & Punchkula and two in city of Ludhiana today.

A home DECOR AND LIFESTYLE PRODUCTS company, Rosebys is poised to become one of the leading home furnishings and Décor Company in the country. The company would be setting up a pan India network of franchisee stores in the coming months. He further added that Rosebys has chosen Punjab as the launch platform because of people’s ability to appreciate both the quality & premium lifestyle fashion.

The organized Indian retail market is fast growing and is expected to touch $12 billion by 2015. Rosebys would target the organized retail which has a negligible penetration in the overall retail space market in the country today. Rosebys promises to deliver a world class retail experience and contemporary range of products for the modern Indian woman’s home. Rosebys will launch with four basic thematic product ranges. These are Indulgence, Eco Chic, Geo Retro, and Peony Garden.

Each of this range has a different concept and would have an entire product range from bed covers, bed sheets, towels, cushions, and adornments like photo frames, vases candles contemporary and unique range of home stainless steel ware and personal care products. Aloke Banerjee, CEO, Rosebys said, “Home furnishings and décor market in India is largely dominated by the unorganised players. The brand would take the franchisee route but the standard of the stores would be consistent.
